God Is Our Answer to Negativity

Is anyone else tired of negativity? If I had a dime for every negative post I have scrolled by on my social media, I would be a very wealthy woman. I don’t know about you, but my own mindset is really influenced by what I allow myself to read and listen to. I have had to take a step back from all the coronavirus news and focus on self-care. Otherwise, I would get mired in the darkness of the news lately. I have been endeavoring to focus on what is most important – God. Here are four things He has been teaching me.

1. God Is the Light

God called us to be a light in a world of darkness. Now is an excellent time for us to show His light. Whether it is by helping neighbors or those in your community, or simply being more positive in your own personal social media, the light is needed in the world. Shine the light on the positive things going on in your life, and your joy will increase.

2. God Is the Answer

People are questioning everything they believe in and trust in these days. That job you once felt was going to be around forever may be closed due to the pandemic and you may have been furloughed. The security your children felt in school has been taken away from them, as many schools have closed for the rest of the school year. You are unsure, and everyone around you is unsure, but God is sure, all the time.

3. God Is Here

God did not slack on His job. He knew this would happen, and He knows how it will end. He is still holding you in the palm of His hand. No matter what isolation we are under, one thing is for certain, God is here with us in this season.

4. God is Our Provision

I cannot let myself get caught up in the hoarding mindset this pandemic has caused. I have to believe God is my source and my provision. He is concerned about even the smallest of birds, how can I not depend upon Him to take care of my family?

If you can take a step back from the negativity and realize these four things, you can make it through any situation. This is a difficult time, but nothing lasts forever – even Covid-19. By focusing on God and His will for us during this time, we may find that this obstacle is an opportunity for us to grow in Him and His love. Grow, my friends!
