Yvette Urquhart
Energetic, inspiring, empowering and captivating are just a few of the adjectives used to describe the multi-talented, Yvette Urquhart. Yvette enjoys every opportunity she is given to use her talents to be a blessing to others. She is an Empowerment Speaker, Author, Certified Life Coach, Clean Comedienne, Poet, Actress and Creator of Embrace Life with Yvette. Yvette travels all over the state of Virginia, North Carolina and beyond using her God given abilities to empower, bring laughter, love, joy, hope and inspiration wherever she goes. As much as she loves inspiring others and entertaining, nothing is more rewarding or gives her as much satisfaction as being a wife and mother. She resides in Long Island, VA with her husband, James Urquhart and they have three lovely daughters; Endia, Jamyrah and Chelsea. Yvette loves the Lord, spending time with her family and is passionate about helping and serving others.
Yvette is an active member of The Gospel Tabernacle Outreach Center where she serves as a Minister in Training under the leadership of Pastor Kell Stone, Coordinator of the Youth Council, Worship Leader, Altar Ministry and Youth Minister overseeing Kingdom Kids Youth Church of GTOC. Yvette is also very active in her community. She has served as a member of the Minority Council of Gretna Middle School for the past three years. Yvette along with the other members of Sisters of Strength International Women’s Ministry provide food boxes and toiletry baskets to families in the community during the holidays. She oversees the operation of the after school program at the Bridge Center where she works with the children of the community. She volunteered for many years at Mt. Airy Elementary school where she served as Treasurer of the PTO, planned the 100 Year Anniversary Reunion for Mt. Airy and was recognized for her time and service to the school. Yvette is extremely passionate about the success of the youth in the community. It is her desire to see each of them learn, develop, mature, evolve and transform into educated, informed, responsible and productive members of society.
Yvette is convinced that her assignment and purpose is to exhort, push, believe in and help others to discover and birth the greatness that lies within them. Yvette is a lover of life and believes in unleashing the best her everyday. She is dedicated to living life to the fullest so that she can die empty having given every part of herself to loving, helping, leading, empowering, guiding, serving, impacting and leaving a legacy of love, hope and faith. If she can do this, then she believes she will have fulfilled God’s divine plan for her life.
