Call Me Back

If I’m working the wrong path,

If I’m hurrying too far along,

I’ve left all that matters behind.

I did dream a new dream,

I did set a new goal,

O call me back, call me back to Your way.

The way of the Lord is home

This I know, no doubt.

If I walk in it daily

I will come to rejoice fully,

Cuz He’ll see me through daily

And with good victory crown me.

I trust, believe and seek to follow.

The lessons I’ve learnt I’ll hold.

But if by chance

I miss the track,

Be near dear Lord, call me back.

O call me back, call me back to Your way.

As I earnestly strive the truth to follow,

I leave all behind that will hinder;

I press on in hope,

I know You will help,

But if I get misled

O call me back, call me back to Your way.

See the hands that are clutched in prayer,

Oh Lord please answer.

See the eyes filled with tears

And the soul that is bare,

If for ought I have wronged

O call me back, call me back to Your way.

The way of the Lord is home,

This I know no doubt.

If I walk in it daily

I will come to rejoice fully,

Cuz He’ll see me through daily

And with good victory crown me.
