No Other Place I’d Rather Be

Better is one day in your courts than a thousand elsewhere; I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of the wicked. Psalm 84:10

No Other Place I’d Rather Be

When I am tired, and not feeling at ease,
When I am broken, and down on my knees,

You call me into Your presence,
Lavish me with Your love,
I sense Your Holy fragrance,
As I fix my gaze above,

Sustaining me through the battle,
Calming my greatest fears,
Not letting on me, my sins to settle,
Assuring me, “daughter, I am here”!

Humming at Your sacred feet,
Bringing You my painful heart,
My desire is just to meet,
For I am Your very own part.

So much in love with You,
I praise and adore my King,
Check if my heart is true,
Just to draw close to You I sing,

Your living water purifies me,
Your sacrifice forever set me free,
Your shed blood sanctifies me,
The very reason You died on the tree.

What great love,
That found me,
What great mercy,
That did not denounce me.

You alone are my Father,
Who always comes through for me,
You alone are my Savior.
Who paid with His life and breath for me.

Forever I am grateful,
Forever I will be!
Once I tasted, You are so faithful,
No other place I’d rather be.

Your servant Lord,
