SET FREE BY CHRIST

Free amongst God’s handiwork,
I am a joyful bird
Free from the bondage of sin
Set free by Christ for freedom.

Fed by green pastures,
Led to still waters,
I have no want,
Since the Lord is my shepherd.

The yoke I carried alone
Was heavy to bear anymore,
The Lord called me to lay down
My burden at His feet.

Casting my burdens on the Lord
I am set free from worry,
The burden He calls to carry
Is easy and light.

With a faith wavering
Like the waves of the sea,
The Lord beckons me
To anchor my life in Him.

With a knowledge so shallow of His word,
The Lord calls me to soar above
In the knowledge of His will
In all spiritual wisdom and understanding.

As I grow in Him, I eagerly wait
For the hope of righteousness
And walk the path of faith
Waiting for His spectacular glory.
