What Kind of Ambassador Have You Been?
I was listening to the radio and there was a debate whether a certain country was supposed to support Israel or Palestine during the fighting. As they continued to argue why the country must not support someone mentioned that as a country to show their lack of support, they must ask the ambassador to leave the country immediately. As I listened it dawned to me that the reason they thought if the ambassador is chased from their country, it would send a message of their unhappiness to the country is because ambassadors are responsible to uphold the interest of their home country and promoting its image. The ambassador was representing his country so the fact that they were not agreeing with what the country was doing they wanted to dissociate themselves.
Matthew 5:13-14,” You are the salt of the earth but if the salt loses its flavor how shall it be seasoned. It is then good for nothing but should be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men. You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden.” The year 2024 is coming to an end as a Christian woman have you been a good ambassador of heaven. Are people who live with you on earth think they want you because they associate you with goodness?
Ambassadors as representatives of their countries in a foreign land:
- Know why they are in the other country.
- Know who sent them and that their mandate is not forever.
- Understand the heart of the one who sent them to the other country.
- Are proud to wear their countries regalia.
- Know who they are.
As a Christian woman in 2024 have you been a good ambassador of God the father? Do your colleagues at work see the light in you? Do your children rise and call you blessed because they see a mother who represents heavenly values to them? Does your husband if married see a heaven’s ambassador in you as a wife? If you are a businessowner do your clients attest to you being the salt of the earth? Do your employees see a woman of good character who represents God well?
Sometimes when life is challenging it is easier to forget that we are heavenly ambassadors and align to the worldly standards but Paul in Ephesians 6:20 (NLT) states that,” “I am in chains now, still preaching this message as God’s ambassador. So, pray that I will keep on speaking boldly for him, as I should.” When we know our mandate as ambassadors’ chains of life should not make us forget who and what we represent but even cause us to be more committed to the cause. As Christian women we should say as in Philippians 3:20 “For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ.” (NKJV)
What kind of ambassador have you been? There is still a chance to represent heaven well.
