Good day to you LadyBugs! How often have we said “it is just heaven on earth” when we experience something that we genuinely enjoy? We say it in a way that is joking, but have you ever really thought about what it is to have heaven on earth?
If we read our Bible with open hearts, we will see that we are to always bring heaven to earth now. I know, you are sitting there thinking I have lost my ever-loving mind. But LadyBugs, I promise, I have not jumped off the deep end nor have I lost my marbles.
You see, there are so many scriptures that I see so differently now than I did years ago. Such as “your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.” I mean think about this one for a second. If we are to pray this as Jesus then could we not say that if there is joy in heaven, then there is joy on earth? The hang up with us praying this and seeing manifest on earth is that we don’t believe that we can honestly pray heaven to earth. Think about all the things that Jesus has said we have. We have healing because of His stripes. We have the Holy Spirit because we have chosen salvation, and with the Holy Spirit, we have the power to have the faith we need to move mountains. Sometimes, those mountains are not the physical geographical mountains, but we can still move them. Remember our battle is not with flesh and blood, but rather principalities. By praying heaven down, we simply saying that we know that there is healing, life, joy, peace, and salvation. When we pray heaven down we are standing in agreement with God and all that He says we are capable of doing in order to share the Kingdom news with all we know.
Another aspect of bringing heaven to earth is when we praise. Does the Word not say that God will inhibit the praises of His people? If that is the case, then when we truly worship Him and walk in that lifestyle of praise, then God is going to be in those praises. That is why I love to praise Him. When I get lost in praise, I feel as though there is no one else around. I feel me and Jesus getting to know each other even more intimately.
LadyBug, let us pray and worship as if we are in the presence of God at all times. Not just once a week. If we can change our lifestyle to reflect the joy of heaven on earth, then we could be that difference someone needed to see.
