30 Days of Gratitude

1 Peter 4:12-13a, ‘Beloved friends, if life gets extremely difficult, with many tests, don’t be bewildered as though something strange were overwhelming you. Instead, continue to rejoice (TPT).’

Day 19 * Just Grateful: Warmly or deeply appreciative of kindnesses or benefits received; indebted and beholden

Lord, can we talk about the hard stuff?
Your children are seeming a little undone, a little overwhelmed, a lot bewildered. In fact, if Your children, who have the Hope of Glory planted as a seed and growing within them, feel spun, can You imagine how the ones who are without You, God, are coping? Well, duh, yeah, yes, of course You can imagine. In fact, You don’t have to imagine. You know. You know because You are God. You know, no hope, no cope. Hmmm. Like a light, suddenly, I see. Is that what You wanted all along? Maybe if we unhinged a little, we would navigate outside of ourselves and our own molecular independence we have arrived at and see our great need once again for Who fashioned us from a dream and the dust. God, I read in Your Word that there were previous times in Biblical history when You muted someone, blinded another, crippled others, until the fruition of Your plan came to be so You would be acknowledged, received, worshiped. Thank You, God, that You chose me; You wanted me! To be a part of Your plan. Quiet me, Lord, mute me, blind me. Speak, because I am listening.
Lord, can we talk about the hard stuff?

I Samuel 3:10-11, ‘The Lord came and stood there, calling as at the other times, “Samuel! Samuel!” then Samuel said, “Speak, for Your servant is listening.” And the Lord said to Samuel, “See, I am about to do something in Israel that will make the ears of everyone who hears about it tingle.” (NIV).’
