Jill Rogers Interviewed by Miranda Chivers

Miranda Chivers: I was surprised to see that you’ve written three books. I’ve heard you are writing another one. Can you tell us about this new one?
Jill Rogers: Hello, thanks for interviewing me and yes I can share some things about the new book. I was reading a book and I got mad. I had been to a conference and the lady that spoke had written several books. I bought a book about her story. I realized that I kept forgetting that I have a story too. My story can change lives. All of my friends started raving about her books and her story and that was a big incentive for me. This book is coming more from me personally. Before I have presented all of the tools that have helped me. The different coaches and groups and such. But now, my voice, the things that I have actually learned.

MC: That sounds fabulous. What inspired you to start writing, and why did you decide to write for Christian Women Living Magazine?
JR: I knew that the amount of traumatic things that I went through had to be written about and used to help other people’s lives. The reason I decided to write for Christian Women Living Magazine is because I am a Christian and I know my voice needs to be heard to help others.

MC: In your testimony, you’ve often mentioned your experience of being raped at knifepoint. Please tell how telling this story has helped you in your faith and in your writing career.
JR: It’s sort of strange but it feels like the only reason I went through that was to give me a story to help others. After I went through it, it changed everything. I felt like I was in another realm. Life changed, I changed and I was closer to my Heavenly Father. I knew life was serious and I had a purpose. Then there were more traumas that really boosted my faith to know that God would provide for me even in desperate situations. Telling the story and writing the books have shown me that I can accomplish bigger things than I could have ever imagined.

MC: Please tell us about your ministry program: Pier 7 Healing House.
JR: My husband Marty and I were trained in Restoring the Foundations, with healing sessions for deep inner healing. We take them through a process of several sessions that cover many things including breaking off generational curses, severing ungodly soul ties, replacing negative beliefs, renouncing inner vows, receiving divine visions, breaking off word curses, and finally getting rid of demons. We have taken many people through these sessions with wonderful results.

Now we have been trained with the International Association of Healing Rooms. There are healing rooms all over the world and we let people set up a time and we pray for them. It was founded from a John G. Lake revival that took place in Spokane Washington and many, many miracles happened. So we are honored to be a part of this.

MC: In addition to writing books, writing for CWL, and managing your ministry, you also have a busy family and travel frequently with your husband. You’re a busy person. How do you structure your life to get everything done?
JR: The main thing that I have to do is stay focused. If I am doing something, I can’t let distractions hinder me. Even if i don’t get anything else accomplished but that one thing, I have to get that finished. I love people, action, and solutions so I’m pretty geared up for it.

Jill, thank you for taking the time to do this interview. Please tell us how people can reach you and connect with your books and ministry.

Sure thanks for asking:
