Just BE-Loved – Day 25

Webster says ‘Loved’ means held in deep affection; cherished

Synonyms: desired, adored, precious, beloved, cherished

GOD says in Ephesians 1:3-4, ‘Every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realm has already been lavished upon us as a love gift from our heavenly Father, the Father of our Lord Jesus – all because he sees us wrapped up in Christ. This is why we celebrate him with all of our hearts! And he chose us to be his very own, joining us to himself even before he laid the foundation of the universe! Because of his great love, he ordained us, so that we would be seen holy in his eyes with an unstained innocence (TPT).’ In the Message translation, it says that, ‘Long before he laid down earth’s foundations, he had us in mind, had settled on us as the focus of his love, to be made whole and holy by his love.’
It is confounding to me that there is only a handful of words to describe what you and I mean to our heavenly Father. Many characteristics any one of us could be identified by would have a plethora of descriptions and definitions. However, there isn’t a lot of verbiage about being loved.
Yet, beloved, your Father thought you so great an importance that He would send His only one true Son to the cross to die on your behalf. I guess I thought that the words to describe you and me as loved by God would be so many an ocean couldn’t even contain them. But then I realized this. He saw you and He saw me outside of time, so individualized that we are precious in his sight. Before the foundations of this world even spun, your heavenly Father saw you and He loved you. He cherished you. He called you ‘beloved’, meaning a person who is greatly loved, a person who is adored; cherished.
It causes me to realize that perhaps there aren’t enough words in the human language to identify us with what our Maker thinks about you and me. God did not sit down on some random day and decide to play a video game and build a universe that housed a couple people he created who designed a world they might like to live in. I was on His mind long before and long after He swirled my name in the dirt and mixed it with His promise and breathed hope into my lungs and made life to beat within my chest. He made me because He loved me; because He wanted ME to hang out with and to pass the time; and, He called me his beloved, His daughter.
It takes my breath away when I think how He views me. I know how many hopes and dreams I have kissed into the universe for my children and now my grandchildren. It took me a long time to see me as my Father sees me because I had done everything I could to become tarnished in His sight. I now ‘get’ the eyes of the betrothed, the desire to see a beloved whole and holy and complete and spotless.
Your Father sees you and He is deeply affected by His love for you.

Beloved and cherished daughter, you are enough! You are desired and adored and precious. You are forgiven and complete. You are loved.

Day 25 Challenge: Sweetheart, if you cannot see yourself through this lens, the lens needs to be cleansed. The only way He sees you is through a lens of adoration and love and second chances. Reach out to him today and let him touch all the places the wounds have been. Or maybe you have someone you care for who needs this word. Share with them today.
