Day 5 – Fit For Life Challenge

😀☀️Its Day 5!

It’s going to be a beautiful day! I hope you get out and enjoy it! Speaking of that, that’s our topic this morning. Do you enjoy your life? I mean truly enjoy it? Do you just go through your day checking off boxes of what needs to be done and that’s it? Do you look at things in a negative way? Are you a glass half empty kinda guy or gal? I want to talk quickly this morning about how as Christians, we weren’t made to merely exist! We were meant to live with joy and zest! Do people look at you and say “Wow! I want whatever that person has in their life!” That’s how they should feel when they look at you! John 10:10 says “The thief does not come but to kill, steal, and destroy. I have come that they may life and that they may have it more abundantly.” Now abundance here is talking about something way deeper than material things. To me, it’s talking about living knowing who gave this life, and the beauty of the world, to us! It’s about this; as Christians we should be living on a higher plane! Because of his forgiveness, we are free to forgive! We don’t need to be weighed down by guilt and shame. Because of his great love for us, we are shown how to love unconditionally, expecting zero in return, and that is so freeing! Because of his presence, we know we’re not alone!

Jesus died to give us an eternal life in heaven.. yes. But He also came to give us an abundant and meaningful, joyous life right here and right now! That should make you want to jump for joy!

As Christians, we live and die, hope and suffer, achieve and fail with an enduring joy because WE SEE SOMETHING GREATER! We are the only ones who can experience this life in full recognition that it is a gift from God. We understand we cannot control our lives and nothing is guaranteed… but we find true freedom knowing that God is in control! Even when we don’t understand! When we release our lives to him, we can truly enjoy it as it is! Yes we are strangers here, but we are not trespassers! So get out and laugh, love and be free to enjoy life!!

The best way to move and exercise is doing something you enjoy! Explore and discover at least one new way you can move and get exercise. Maybe it’s something you used to do but haven’t in a while.. whether it’s going on a hike, riding a bike, playing tennis or golf, swimming, dancing, running, weight- lifting, doing yoga.. whatever. Find something you love and do it! Enjoy today friends!
