I AM ENOUGH I am, because He is!

Scripture: but He said to me ,”My grace is sufficient for you, For my power is made perfect in weakness,” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weakness, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, to insults, in hardships, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong. 2 Corinthians 12:9-10

I am enough! I need you to say it, believe it and receive it! If any of you are like me, there has been a time or two that I thought I was not enough and God sent someone by to remind me who I am. So just in case you came here today feeling like you are not enough. Just in case someone made you feel like you are not enough. Just in case your circumstance has you believing you are not enough, then I need you to do me a favor and let’s take a few minutes to encourage one another. Look at your neighbor on your left side and say neighbor, I need you to know that I am enough. Now turn to your neighbor on your right and say neighbor: I don’t know what you heard about me, what you think about me but in case you forgot, in case you don’t know, in case you never hear or have been misinformed, then let me give it to you straight from the horses mouth so I can make sure we are all on the same page, I need you to listen Linda, listen, I am enough! Now encourage yourself, pull out your mirror, pat yourself on the back or pull your phone out and take a selfie and say self, I hope you realize, you are more than enough!

We keep saying I AM ENOUGH but exactly what does that mean? I looked up several meanings but none quite to my satisfaction. However, when I think about being enough. I believe that it means that you don’t have to have it all together. Your life does not have to be perfect. You don’t have to do everything and be everything. You don’t have to be self-sufficient nor does it mean that you don’t need anything or anyone. It means you are enough just as you are. So today, I want to leave you with three nuggets. 1/You don’t need anyone or anything to validate you. 2/Be who you are & 3/You are absolutely ENOUGH!

You are enough! You don’t need anyone or anything to validate you. You don’t need their approval, you don’t need their okay, you don’t need them to cosign. You are enough period. You don’t have to measure up to people’s standards. When you depend on people to build you up, they will have that same power to tare you down. You don’t need anyone’s permission. Seeking validation will keep you trapped, in bondage and held hostage and I don’t know about you but I ain’t about that life! Don’t listen to negative people who try to tell you are not good enough because of what you did in the past, where you come from, where you live, what you drive, how you dress, who your momma and daddy are, where you work. None of that is who you are. None of those things define you. You are enough in spite of all of that. You don’t have to conform but be transformed. 2And do not be conformed to this world [any longer with its superficial values and customs], but be [a]transformed and progressively changed [as you mature spiritually] by the renewing of your mind [focusing on godly values and ethical attitudes], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His plan and purpose for you]. (Romans 12:2 AMP) Know your worth. You are priceless. Don’t allow anyone to put a price tag on your value. Even Satan knows you are enough and that is why he fights you so hard. He doesn’t want you to know who you are because when you know who you are then he knows he is in trouble. The devil will try to ambush your mind with reasons as to why you are good enough but just know that he is the father of lies. He will make you think that just because you didn’t gt offered the job, didn’t qualify for the loan, didn’t get the leading role that you are not enough. Just because you did not measure up to man’s so called standards and qualifications does not mean that you are not enough. Remind yourself every day that you are worthy, you have value, that you are enough because God has chosen you. But you are the ones chosen by God, chosen for the high calling of priestly work, chosen to be a holy people, God’s instruments to do his work and speak out for him, to tell others of the night-and-day difference he made for you—from nothing to something, from rejected to accepted. (1 Peter 2:9-10)

You don’t need anyone to validate you because you are enough, so just be you. You don’t have to act like, look like or to try to be like anybody else. Be who you are. You are an original, not a carbon copy. God created you to stand out, not to fit in. If you want to be somebody really special, just try being you. You are enough, you are adequate. You may not be perfect, you may have flaws and have made mistakes but you are still enough! You are enough and you are loved by a mighty and powerful King. You are perfectly imperfect and fabulously flawed. Just be you. Embrace who you are. You are not just anybody. You are more than the name on your birth certificate. We are sons and daughters of God; heirs to the Kingdom. We belong to an aristocratic dynasty. We may live in a world where beauty, money, fame, education and status and positions are coveted; but all of these things are temporal. If we don’t accomplish or achieve these things during our life time, that does not change the fact that you are enough!! You just be you! According to them, you might not look like you are enough, talk like you are enough, live in the right house or the right neighborhood, drive the right car. They looking at you cross-eyed, under-eyed and sideways because what they don’t realize that there is more to you than what they see. man looks [a]at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.” (1 Samuel 16:7) They thought because you used to sell or use drugs, were an alcoholic, they thought because you didn’t graduate from high school or go to college, because you were homeless, lost your job, got bad credit, they thought that because you are disabled, because you were molested, because you went to jail, because you were a teenage mother or you are a single parent that you are not enough. Well they thought wrong. You need to look them in the eye and say honey, I need you to change your thinking concerning me because your thinking is way off. None of those things define me nor disqualify me. But He was wounded for our transgressions,He was crushed for our wickedness [our sin, our injustice, our wrongdoing];The punishment [required] for our well-being fell on Him,And by His stripes (wounds) we are healed.(Isaiah 53:5) Tell your neighbor, don’t judge this book by the cover. Don’t let your eyes deceive you. Don’t underestimate me. Don’t let nobody count you out and don’t you count yourself out. You are enough. A beautiful creation. You are fearfully and wonderfully made. (Psalm 139:14) As a matter of fact, you have always been enough, every since the beginning. God saw everything that He had made, and behold, it was very good and He validated it completely.(Genesis 1:31) Look down your row and tell them, I am enough and that’s that!

I am absolutely enough and do you know why? I am because He is! I am enough because God is with me; I have set the Lord continually before me; Because He is at my right hand, I will not be shaken.(Psalm 16:8 AMP) I am loved because God is love (1 John 4:8) God loved us enough that He gave His only son so that we don’t have to perish but can have eternal life (John 3:16)

We are enough because God is on our side and with God, we are more than conquerors; 31-39 So, what do you think? With God on our side like this, how can we lose? If God didn’t hesitate to put everything on the line for us, embracing our condition and exposing himself to the worst by sending his own Son, is there anything else he wouldn’t gladly and freely do for us? And who would dare tangle with God by messing with one of God’s chosen? Who would dare even to point a finger? The One who died for us—who was raised to life for us!—is in the presence of God at this very moment sticking up for us. Do you think anyone is going to be able to drive a wedge between us and Christ’s love for us? There is no way! Not trouble, not hard times, not hatred, not hunger, not homelessness, not bullying threats, not backstabbing, not even the worst sins,  I’m absolutely convinced that nothing—nothing living or dead, angelic or demonic, today or tomorrow, high or low, thinkable or unthinkable -absolutely nothing can get between us and God’s love because of the way that Jesus our Master has embraced us(Romans 8:31-39 MSG). We shouldn’t go around feeling anything less than enough! As a matter of fact, we are more than enough. We are fearless because God is with us;

‘Do not fear [anything], for I am with you;
Do not be afraid, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you, be assured I will help you;I will certainly take hold of you with My righteous right hand [a hand of justice, of power, of victory, of salvation].’(Isaiah 41:10 AMP)

I are over comers because we belong to God; greater is He that is in us than he that is in the world (1 John 4:4) We are good because God created us; For everything God has created is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with gratitude; for it is sanctified [set apart, dedicated to God] by means of the word of God and prayer (1Timothy 4:4-5 AMP) We are victorious because He gives us the victory; but thanks be to God, who gives us the victory [as conquerors] through our Lord Jesus Christ.(1 Corinthians 15:57 AMP) We are always winners. Even when we lose we win because God fights for us; The Lord says this to you: ‘Be not afraid or dismayed at this great multitude, for the battle is not yours, but God’s.(2 Chronicles 20:15) We are free because Jesus has set us free; So if the Son makes you free, then you are unquestionably free.(John 8:36 AMP) We are redeemed; giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified us to share in the inheritance of the saints (God’s people) in the Light.

13 For He has rescued us and has drawn us to Himself from the dominion of darkness, and has transferred us to the kingdom of His beloved Son, 14 in whom we have redemption [because of His sacrifice, resulting in] the forgiveness of our sins [and the cancellation of sins’ penalty]. (Colossians 1:12-14 AMP)

I want you to get this in your spirit; you are enough, you are more than enough, you are absolutely enough. You are talented, gifted, precious, priceless, you are rare, a jewel, a hidden treasure. You are needed, you are necessary. You are enough because of whose you are, a child of God. You are enough because our theme scripture says his grace is sufficient. When we are weak, we are really strong because God adds his super to our natural which gives us the strength we need and we realize that we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us(Philippians 4:13)

I am because He is! The next time you feel like you are not qualified, not good enough, feel like you can’t do it. The next time the devil tries to whisper lies in your ear or your circumstance may have you feeling a little insignificant, just remember that you are enough. You don’t need anyone to celebrate you, you don’t have to receive recognition, accolades, applauds, promotions, trophies, certificate or awards. Don’t get me wrong, all of these things are great but you don’t need them to prove that you are enough. You are enough because I am has sent you. Just like he told Moses in Exodus; when they ask who sent you, tell them I Am has sent you (Exodus 3:14)

You got to know that you know that you know that you are indeed enough. Your bank account might be insufficient but your father is rich. Your credit may be jacked up but some how you still Got the car, the house, the loan because He is the bankers banker. You didn’t have enough $ to buy what you need but somehow when you got in the store, the Lord had lowered the price, put it on sale and you had enough to get what you needed. They don’t know how you haven’t lost your mind after all you have gone through but you know God to be a mind regulator. I assure you that if you trust God, He will become whatever you need Him to be. I just stopped by here today to tell you, to remind you to empower you with these words; You are enough! You don’t need anyone or anything to validate you.

You have God’s stamp of approval. Be you and know that you are, because He is. Hold your head up, stick your chest out, walk confidently knowing that you are truly, indeed, absolutely, positively, without question, no doubt ENOUGH!!!
