When we are faced with an illness, we begin to pray for healing. We know what we are facing and we begin to speak of the promise of healing when Jesus bore the stripes before He conquered the grave. On occasion, there is a time when we are healed and it’s not a physical healing that takes place. This is a healing of the spirit, mind, and soul. Sometimes, it is a change that brings healing.
Changes are tough on us. We tend to prolong anything that will bring a change because with change we have uncertainty. We don’t always know what will happen after we change something in our lives. Whether we are changing jobs, homes, churches or school, we have no way of knowing how we will be affected. But God can use these times to bring healing that we did not know we needed. Those are the times when you have no doubts that God is a gracious God.
There are times that God needs to heal us from brokenness so that we can find the joy to share His love. He may need to heal our wounded spirit so that we can love on those who we once held off in offense. Healing a heart and soul through change is such a beautiful experience. It’s like all the tension of your shoulders are let loose and you find that you can carry your sister just a little bit farther.
Don’t let change hold you back from what ever it is that God has for you, it could be the very thing that brings all of your broken pieces back together.
