God has put all things under the authority of Christ and has made him head over all things for the benefit of the church. Ephesians 1:22 (NLT)

I have read this verse so many times, yet today, God revealed something so new and encouraging. See we know that everything is under the authority of Christ because He is the Son of God. He is the Savior! He is the I am of God’s Word. So how can we not know His authority. Even as He hung on the cross He stated, “forgive them Father.” I mean that is a pretty bold statement. He wasn’t asking God to forgive them; He was telling God to forgive them.

But today when I read this, I was so ecstatic to see the new thing that God was showing me. Read that verse again. Jesus was made head over all things, not just a few things and not just the easy things. He was made head of all things. Hold on to that thought as we go into the next part. He was made head over all things for the BENEFIT of the CHURCH! Do you see it? Has it hit your spirit like it did mine? Everything that Jesus has authority over is going to benefit the church! Now I am pretty sure that this “church” is not the brick and mortar building, but rather the body of Christ that is made up of the believers. This church is US! His authority will benefit US!

When we are in limbo land over the 2020 Presidential election, the authority of Jesus will benefit the church. No matter what, we will benefit!! Oh my sweet sister, how precious is that promise? In today’s world of uncertainty, we can stand tall and hold on to the promise that we will benefit through Jesus no matter what happens in this world.

LadyBug you are going to benefit from everything that you walk through. No matter what the world may say, you are walking under the benefit of Jesus’ authority over all things!

Let us know that we are not losing anything no matter what happens, but rather we are going to gain so much more than we could ever ask.
