For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away: but the word of the Lord endureth forever, and this is the word by with the gospel is preached unto you. 1 Peter 1:24-25 (King James Version)

IF ever we need to know the importance of the word, it can be found in these verses. We find ourselves caught up in concern with the things of the flesh and we lose focus on the word. Whether we are concerned with getting to work, going to school, cleaning the house or any other “thing” that keeps us focused on the how we are perceived in the world, it all fades away. The looks, the clothes, the homes and the cars will fade, rot, and rust. Even the recognition we get from the world will become mute.

But the word of God does not disappear or change. It will remain the same regardless of how many more years pass. No matter what version of the Word you read, God’s word will never fail nor will it change. He will not change His mind, promises or love! Just Wow! Just to know that it will forever be the same as it was when He spoke the world into existence.

As we grow older in this old world, our hair will gray, our bodies will become frail, and our thoughts will fade. But oh, how sweet is the promise that God’s Word will still be the same as the day we first heard and believed.

LadyBug, hold tight to the unchanging word of God and know that regardless of what you see, feel or hear in the flesh, God’s word will always be what He said it was.

Let us hold to the Word of God when all else is fading away.

Much Love,
