We always wonder what our love language is so that we can connect better with our spouse and cultivate a marriage that is life giving not only to us, but to our children as well. I am not saying this a bad thing. We need learn how to express love to our spouse in a way that shows them we are interested in showing them how much we mean to them. This is what God wants in our marriages. But LadyBug, He wants us to do more than that in loving. He wants us to learn how to extend those love languages to others.
God has the most important love language we could ever know. He loves us when we can’t love ourselves. He cares for us even when we were lost in sin and lived life so far away from His peace. His word tells us many times to love one another as He loves us. He instructs us to show others the peace that only He can bring into our lives.
This language is not just one of the 5 that we have studied, this language is a combination of all of them. We have to understand that to a person who responds receiving gifts, does so because they appreciate the time someone takes to pick out a gift. To them, actions speak louder than words. For those who thrive on words of affirmation, we need to know how to love them by speaking words that let them know they are appreciated and loved. So, learning the love language of God will allow us to cover all of these languages that we as people need to hear in the flesh. His word is the best place to learn these languages.
LadyBug let us always be willing to speak the love language of God so that others will know they are valued in His eyes.
