We Choose To Say No

Bringing a beautiful life into the world,
That was our joy, our passion, our mission,
Deft hands, quick impulses, smart decisions,
We worked round the clock to help these beautiful lives enter the world,
The world they were entering was not that welcoming though,
It was cold, cruel, and rude, it was hard, tough, and sick,
Yet they were lives with a purpose,
Lives that were to be lived, Lives that should not be snuffed out,
That should not be stopped,
Because of the whims and fancies of a ruler…

The summon came, the command was given,
The highest authority in the land,
Refusal to obey could mean trial and death,
But we feared the greatest authority God,
We chose to say NO, to smartly give an excuse,
To save these beautiful little lives,
To fulfil God’s great purposes…

And God saw our hearts, our efforts, our boldness,
To stand against the forces of evil,
He blessed us with homes and families,
He did great things, He used one of those little lives,
To save His people from the clutches of bondage and slavery,
Say NO to evil, say NO to what your heart believes is wrong,
Stand up for the truth ALWAYS, no matter what the cost…
God will honor every bold step for HIM.
