Day 28 – Fit For Life Challenge

Good Morning!☀️ Day 28! It’s a new day! The possibilities are endless! Hopefully you all have a plan for this week.. a plan for healthy meals and a plan for exercise. Makes these plans priority. Be flexible according to your schedule, but make the things happen that are important to having a healthy week!

Today I want us to take a little field trip in our minds together. It’s to the place that God told Jeremiah in the Bible to go. God told Jeremiah to go to the potter’s house because He had an object lesson for him. Let’s look at Jeremiah 18:1-6,”The word which came to Jeremiah from the Lord, saying; ‘Arise and go down to the potter’s house and there I will cause you to hear My words.’ Then I went down to the potter’s house, and there he was, making something at the wheel. And the vessel that he made of clay was marred in the hand of the potter, so he made it again into another vessel, as it seemed good to the potter to make. Then the word of the Lord came to me saying, ‘O house of Israel, can I not do with you as this potter?’ Says the Lord, ‘Look, as the clay is in the potter’s hand, so are you in My hand, O house of Israel.”

Like the clay in the potter’s hands, if we want to be a vessel made for His use, we must first put ourselves in His hands. Isaiah 64:8 says, “ but now, O Lord, You are the Father; we are the clay, and you are the potter; and we all are the work of Your hand.”

If you are a Christian, God has begun a work in you to shape you and mold you for His purpose. Ultimately, He is shaping us to be conformed to the image of Jesus.. to be more and more like Him. But individually, He has a plan and purposes for each of our lives. If you are still alive.. and you are!… He has a purpose for your life! But we must be like the clay in the potter’s hands and submit to Him. As He molds and shapes us, it will get uncomfortable. Just as the clay has to be pressed into shape by pounding and kneading , so the Father will work in our life to make us into the vessel He wants us to be. Our old patterns and ways of thinking, will have to be stripped away so the new attitudes and behaviors can be established! He is working in you to answer your prayers! Yield to Him and let Him have His way in your life! Change and growth can be uncomfortable, sometimes painful. But remember He is working all things for good in us as He molds and shapes us! He’s working in us to produce the fruits we talked about yesterday! Read Galatians 5 to see the fruits He wants to produce in us! It is truly amazing what God can do with just one person totally surrendered to Him! But God is more interested in our character than our comfort! Yield to Him! In doing so, you will begin to walk in more freedom and have the peace of knowing that you are a work in progress being made for the Master’s use! Give God complete access to your mind, body and spirit! Nothing on this Earth compares to living a life totally yielded to Him!
