I AM Smart

Psalms 121:2 My helps come from the Lord, the Maker of heaven, and earth

Hey Kids, how are you? I want to say welcome to your new school year! Yeah, I know what you’re thinking. School is not normal; it’s a laptop, a tablet, no seeing your friends every day, your teacher is on a small screen. The question keeps going through your mind, “What is going on?” I understand! I have three kids in grade school, and those are the impressions I see on their faces. It’s hard to think of this as school. A majority of you are used to the norm of going to school, interacting with your peers, coming home and doing homework.

So, you find yourself caught in the thinking of “I’m not doing so well” or “I’m not smart enough for this type of school.” You may even lose focus and not want to do the virtual thing. I want you to repeat after me: I AM SMART. You will win. The Bible says, “My helps come from the Lord. the Maker of heaven and Earth.” This means that anytime, you have a problem, with your schoolwork, a problem with a test, or anything else, your help comes from the Lord.

If you feel like it’s getting too complicated, began to pray and ask the Lord for help. He will give you comfort and relief during this school year. Trust me, I know as parent. This is new to all of us. It’s something we were not used to or prepared for, but now that we are in it, we need God more than anything, You guys are smart, intelligent, brave, and enough to finish out this school year, with greatness.

So, as school has officially started for everyone, I want you to think of it as an opportunity to embrace the love of God more by continuous prayer that each day you wake-up. You will have an awesome school year. Repeat after me — I AM smart, I AM creative, I will listen and I AM able.

God Bless,
