It’s getting close to fall. The temperatures are cooling, and we are seeing the changing of leaves. We see fall as the time of year we pack up the summer fun and prepare for the winter. Some of us see this as the most comforting time of the year because we can pull out the sweatshirts and sweatpants as we lounge on the porch drinking latte’s and hot tea. During the fall, we begin preparing for the holiday season that is just around the corner. The farmers bring in the last of the harvest and prepare the ground for the coldness of the winter. The land is being prepared for a time of being dormant.

In Today’s Hope, we find that reaping a harvest comes from sowing a seed. We know that blessings result from obedience. When we walk in the instructions of the Lord, we will reap the blessings of the harvest. The bounty we receive in that blessing will always be more than we need. He will always multiply the harvest when we sow the seed of obedience.

LadyBug let us have hope today in the season of fall. Hope in the harvest that will sustain us through a dormant season. While you harvest the fruit of the seed you have sown, let your extra be given unto those who are without a harvest. Let your bounty go beyond your borders and meet the needs of those who are hungry for the Love of God.

~Deuteronomy 11: 8-12
